Venus and the Pleiades
Venus and the Pleiades from our backyard at about 8:30 P.M. on April 11, 2015.
Venus has a magnitude -4.1, it’s rivaled in brightness only by the Moon and Sun. In this photo, we see the sky’s brightest planet and one of the most beautiful star clusters side by side at dusk.

2015 Florida Trip to Biscayne National Park and Everglades National Park
I rented a Panasonic LX100 from LensRentals.com to test out on a recent trip to the Miami area and southern Florida.
Here are a few clips from Biscayne National Park and Everglades National Park. All the clips were hand held and shot at 4K.

African Violet
Put an old Canon FD lens on a Panasonic GH4 for this shot. Not too sharp but ok for a 30+ year old piece of glass. The African violet belonged to my mom.

Evolving Office Setup
Ran across this old post about my office setup.
Here was my work area back in 2010.
My Office May 2010 Thought I’d post an update since I have a new machine.
Here’s my setup in 2014. The height adjustable workstation has been great. I can stand for 5-6 hours per day.
Still using the old Dell monitors. You can never have too much screen real estate. 🙂
