Venus and the Pleiades
Venus and the Pleiades from our backyard at about 8:30 P.M. on April 11, 2015.
Venus has a magnitude -4.1, it’s rivaled in brightness only by the Moon and Sun. In this photo, we see the sky’s brightest planet and one of the most beautiful star clusters side by side at dusk.

2015 Florida Trip to Biscayne National Park and Everglades National Park
I rented a Panasonic LX100 from LensRentals.com to test out on a recent trip to the Miami area and southern Florida.
Here are a few clips from Biscayne National Park and Everglades National Park. All the clips were hand held and shot at 4K.
Edited to a 1080p timeline in Final Cut Pro X. The music track is “Upbeat Ukulele” from AudioJungle.

African Violet
Put an old Canon FD lens on a Panasonic GH4 for this shot. Not too sharp but ok for a 30+ year old piece of glass. The African violet belonged to my mom.

Shot with a GoPro Hero3 Black Edition using the 4K/15fps ProTune setting. Converted in GoPro Studio to 29.97fps with speedup of 30X with motion blur turned on. Exported using the ProTune preset. Edited on a 1080p timeline in Final Cut Pro X. Music from an Adobe Soundbooth CS5 score.
